A hands-on, practical workshop empowering university faculty to leverage Generative AI and custom RAG systems for enhanced research efficiency and innovative teaching methodologies.
As the Lead Trainer for this specialized session at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, I focused on moving academia beyond basic AI chat interfaces into structured, high-value "AI-First Workflows." The workshop was designed specifically for faculty and administrative staff, addressing the unique cognitive loads and repetitive tasks inherent in academic research and institutional management.
The curriculum centered on practical, enterprise-grade applications of the Google AI ecosystem. Participants learned to design Custom RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems—acting as a "Second Brain" using tools like NotebookLM and vector databases—to synthesize large volumes of academic data securely. Furthermore, I introduced Advanced Prompt Engineering frameworks (Context, Persona, Goal, Format, Tone) to help educators innovate media teaching methodologies, significantly reducing administrative overhead and accelerating research outputs.
